Six custom hooks. Two tailored profiles.
This Princess X95 project called for six custom fender hooks: three for the upper deck and three for the midship position before the upper deck. Two fitted profiles share Grey WOW #4 leather, Natural White sheepskin lining and 316L stainless steel cores.

The widths below describe the leather wrap and metal core separately. Both configurations use a 3/16-inch-thick 316L stainless steel core.

A wider wrap and core with a custom notch along the inside of the core for the vertical upright.

Midship fender hook with integrated standoff
A narrower wrap and core with a 4-inch standoff built into the metal core and a safety pin with lanyard.
All dimensions are in inches. Profile references come from the project specification and require a location-specific pattern. These dimensions describe this project’s two configurations; the profile for another vessel is confirmed from its own mounting location.

A profile for each mounting location.
The upper-deck hook needs room for the vertical upright. The midship design addresses its location with a 4-inch standoff integrated into the core. Those details belong to the profile, rather than a single universal hook shape.
Materials and hardware
Materials with a purpose.
Both sets specify Grey WOW #4 leather over a 3/16-inch-thick 316L stainless steel core, lined inside with Natural White sheepskin and sewn with black thread. Each hook has one new-style cam cleat and two stainless steel EZ Open Fairleads.

The lining

The inside of each custom hook is lined with Natural White sheepskin.
The core
3/16-inch 316L stainless steel
Both cores are 0.1875 inch thick. The two configurations have different core widths.
6 cam cleats. 12 EZ Open Fairleads.
Three hooks in each configuration give six new-style cam cleats and twelve stainless steel EZ Open Fairleads. The three midship hooks each add one safety pin with lanyard.
The fitting detail
Start with the mounting location.
The upper-deck design must rest against the vertical upright. It must not be hung over the glass wall. The custom inside notch accommodates the thickness of that upright.
At the midship location, the requested 4-inch standoff is part of the stainless steel core. It is a feature of the fabricated profile, with a safety pin and lanyard specified for each hook in this set.

How do the upper-deck and midship hooks differ?
The upper-deck hooks have a 6-inch leather width and a 5-inch metal core width, with a custom inside notch for the vertical upright. The midship hooks have a 4-inch leather width and a 3-inch metal core width, with a 4-inch integrated standoff and one safety pin with lanyard per hook.
Can the upper-deck hooks hang over the glass wall?
No. This project specification requires the upper-deck hooks to rest against each vertical upright. Do not hang them over the glass wall.
What stainless steel and thickness are used in the cores?
Both configurations specify 316L stainless steel cores that are 0.1875 inch, or 3/16 inch, thick. The separate 5-inch and 3-inch measurements describe the core widths.
Is the 4-inch standoff a separate attachment?
No. The midship configuration specifies a 4-inch standoff built into the metal core. Each of the three midship hooks also includes one safety pin with lanyard.
Which leather color was specified, and what other WOW colors can I review?
