CUSTOM MARINE UPHOLSTERY · RIVIERA BEACH

Custom bow cushions, shaped for your boat.

Plan new bow cushions, replacement upholstery and quilted finishes around your existing layout. Start with a few photographs.

Since 1985Serving the marine community · Riviera Beach, Florida

CUSTOM COMFORT AT THE BOW

Start with the layout. Plan the whole cushion.

Custom bow cushions are planned around your boat’s seating or lounging area. New covering, a new foam core and a revised layout are different scopes of work. Canvas Designers reviews the cushion shape, condition and attachment details before agreeing the construction and finish.

Based in Riviera Beach, Florida, our team can discuss the covering, main cushion foam, quilt stitching and practical fitting arrangements for your project.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT SCOPE

What would you like to change?

Begin with the existing setup and the result you want. The team can help define which parts of the cushion or layout need attention.

01

Bow seating cushions

Plan the seating surfaces around the bow layout. Share the existing cushion shapes, attachment points and the way you use the space.

02

Bow loungers and sun pads

Discuss the layout, cushion sections and support needed for a lounging area. Existing hatch access and surrounding fittings belong in the design review.

03

Re-covering and foam assessment

If your cushions are staying in the same arrangement, ask whether new covering, new foam or a fuller rebuild is appropriate. Condition and construction determine the scope.

04

Quilt stitching and embroidery

Discuss pattern scale, thread color and optional embroidery alongside the selected upholstery material. Confirm the finish with current samples and a project-specific layout.

COVERING, COMFORT & CONSTRUCTION

Three parts to discuss separately.

The visible finish and the support beneath it do different jobs. Ask the team to review the complete cushion before deciding what can be retained or renewed.

Upholstery covering
The visible surface, seams, color and care requirements.
Optional quilting layer
Backing beneath the stitched pattern that adds surface definition. This is separate from total cushion thickness.
Main cushion core
The foam assembly that determines the cushion’s overall shape and support. Condition and suitability need their own assessment.

Construction is specified for the project. Confirm covering, foam, fastening, intended exposure and care together.

REAL BOW LAYOUTS

Different boats. Different ways to relax.

QUILT STITCHING & PERSONAL DETAILS

A finish that belongs on your boat.

Review pattern scale, thread color and optional embroidery with current material samples. The stitched surface and main cushion core are specified separately.

  • Compare covering material, color and care guidance
  • Review stitch scale and thread against the cushion shape
  • Confirm embroidery artwork and placement before production

USEFUL ANSWERS, BEFORE YOU INQUIRE

Plan your cushions with a clearer picture.

Understand the options, the details to share and what needs to be confirmed for your boat.

Talk with our team
Can you make replacement cushions for my existing bow layout?

Share photographs of the complete bow area and the individual cushion sections. The team can review the shapes, attachment points and condition before discussing replacement upholstery or a revised cushion layout.

Can my existing foam be reused?

That depends on its condition, shape and suitability for the proposed construction. Ask for an assessment of the complete cushion rather than assuming that a new covering is the only work needed.

Which upholstery materials and colors can I choose?

Discuss current covering samples and the way the cushions will be used and exposed. Confirm the exact material, color and care requirements in the agreed scope. A photograph or screen sample is a starting point, not an exact color match.

Is quilting foam the same as the main cushion foam?

No. A quilting layer creates definition beneath the stitched surface. The main cushion core provides the overall shape and support. Confirm both separately when planning the construction.

Are custom bow cushions waterproof?

Water performance depends on the specific covering, seams, openings, foam and completed construction. Ask about the intended exposure, drainage and care requirements rather than assuming every upholstered cushion is waterproof.

Can I choose a quilt pattern or add embroidery?

The team can review pattern scale, thread color and embroidery placement with your selected material. Send a visual reference or artwork and confirm a suitable layout before production.

What should I send for a quotation?

Include the boat make and model, location, overall and close-up photographs, cushion quantity, current attachment details and the changes you want. Mention your requested date and ask which measurements or site access are needed.

How are pricing, timing and fitting arrangements confirmed?

They depend on the cushion condition, quantity, construction, materials and work required. The team confirms the proposed scope and practical arrangements after reviewing your project details.
