Recover the covers or replace the cushions?
Recovering can suit seating with worn covers and usable foam. Replacement may be more appropriate when cushions have lost support, retain moisture or no longer fit the seating area.
A new cover cannot correct deteriorated cushioning underneath. Share photos of the covers, undersides and seating bases so the assessment includes the whole cushion.
Explore exterior boat upholstery ↗Choose materials for the location and use
The right material depends on sun exposure, moisture, cleaning needs and the finish you want. Confirm the suitability of the specific product for its intended application.
| Material | Typical application | Selection considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Sunbrella® fabric | Canvas, covers and selected cushion applications | Choose the appropriate fabric range for the exposure, construction and cleaning requirements. |
| Marine vinyl & Ultraleather® | Seating and interior furnishings | Confirm the specific material's interior or exterior suitability, feel and care instructions. |
| EZ Dri foam | Cushions requiring drainage | Discuss comfort, thickness and how the complete cushion allows water to escape. |
| Acrylic enclosure panels | EZ2CY enclosure systems | Consider panel layout, visibility, opening arrangements and maintenance. |
| Stainless steel & aluminum | Marine frames, hardware and accessories | Confirm grade, finish, mounting requirements and compatibility with the application. |
